The theme should be installed in the category of wp-content/themes/ . the only thing you should do is to upload the themes(including the theme documents)by ftp to the category above, and activate it in the dashboard-design.
Step 2. How to install the wordpress plugin
The same to the installment of theme, the wordpress plugin must be place in the category of wp-content/plugins/, you can upload the best plugins to this category through ftp and them set it up and activate it in the dashboard-plugins
So now you can try to intall the wordpress theme as well as the wordpress plugin to your blog, making it a better one and look great.
